Busy Little Brains. (4-7 years)
Level one
- The children are introduced to the letters of the alphabet and the sounds they represent through various activities, worksheets, stories, poems and DVDs.
- They simultaneously begin a reading programme wherein they learn to read single words, couplets, short phrases and finally sentences and books.
- The reading programme is based on the Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential in Philadelphia.
Level two
- The children continue with the reading programme.
- They are introduced to the world of numbers up to 100.
- They learn simple addition and subtraction with answers up to 100 in gradual stages.
Level three
- The programme is designed to further develop the children’s Maths and English skills.
- The children are taught addition with carry over.
- Subtraction with borrowing.
- Multiplication.
- Word problems.
- Essay writing.
- Reading comprehension.
- Worksheets are done to develop the child’s reading skills.
Class is conducted once a week for an hour and thirty minutes. |
